at The Chico Creek Nature Center
The Chico Creek Nature Center, located in the heart of Bidwell Park, presents nature education day camps for children ages 5 to 11 during the summer and other school holidays. The programs are designed to provide outdoor recreation and to foster awareness of nature in a fun, safe, and caring setting. Campers enjoy hands-on natural science labs, up close animal visits, outdoor games, arts and crafts, and swimming in Big Chico Creek.
Let your child experience the wonder of Bidwell Park!
In the Fall Camp Chico Creek transforms into Camp Chico Creepy for a night of creepy fun and learning about bats, rats, spiders and other creepy, crawly things in nature.
When the ground starts to freeze over Camp Chico Creek transforms into Camp Chico Chilly. Join us for nature education and day camp fun during the winter break holiday.
Love is in the air when Camp Chico Creek transforms into Camp Chico Love for the school holidays surrounding Valentine’s Day. Join us for nature education and day camp fun.
Camp Chico Wild is our second most popular camp running during the Spring Break school holidays. Join us for nature education and day camp fun focused on the new life and wild creatures living in Butte County.
NOTE: Currently, day camp dates follow the Chico Unified school schedule. We do not currently offer day camp during Thanksgiving Break. If you’d like to see day camp offerings on days we don’t currently have offered please contact Cyndi@BidwellPark.org, to express your desire or request a special day for your group.
